psychology

I guess

I’m fed up with all the psychological issues of people, not with HD, but how people need psychological and often emotional assistance (and a cuddle or fuck), but then go to/through all these modalities, so called self help journey into some form of psychology spirituality, when they actually, or also need psychological assistance. Like I need it now, after trying to help and support myself and so so very many people for 15 whole years (last friday) through HD.

I’m pooped, I’m wasted, I don’t have the stamina anymore, or at least this is how I perceive it 😉

The horrific stories I have heard and listened to, trying to support people with, pfffrf, I can’t take it anymore. Many of you/me/we/us are fucking crazy!

“In fact, The more it scares the living hell out of you, the more likely you’re doing something right”

Any behaviour of the ego/mind is -not- a signpost of deconditioning or correctness, whether it objects, fears, or signs up to anything. We are not measuring it’s responses, it is completely irrelevant. It can however be the ego/mind speaking through one or more of your undefined centers. But that which it says, the content; fear or other, is not a signpost of achievement.

Else we are just living by the ego/minds dictates all over again. Scaring it is not the goal or signpost of any goal. Goals are always just more mind anyways. This is confusing psychological behaviour, psyche responses, with mechanics. Only mind is looking for signposts anyways also.

It is also confusing the Human Design deconditioning process with the non-duality journey of attaining enlightenment, a very different modality. Reversing something like this: Here’s a simple test. by Jed McKenna. In Human Design, we’re not trying to escape the dreamstate of Duality, of the Maia, but about navigating it, better, correctly.

Living your mechanical correctness has -no- comparison to anything whatsoever, ever !

It also sounds like what Richard Rudd from the GeneKeys would say.

Increase Your Self Awareness

“How to See Yourself Clearly: Skip the Introspection Mode

Too much self examination can kill you

“A man wrapped up in himself makes a very small parcel.” ― John Ruskin

Late one night a blind old man was about to go home after visiting a friend. “Please,” he said to his friend, “may I take your lantern with me?”
“Why carry a lantern?” — asked his friend. “You won’t see any better with it.”
“No, perhaps not.” — said the blind one. “But others will see me better, and not bump into me.”
So his friend gave the blind man a bamboo lantern — it had a big candle inside. Off went the blind man and, before he had gone too far, a traveler bumped into him.
The blind man was furious. “Why don’t you look out?” — he stormed. “Haven’t you seen the lantern?”
“Lantern? Well, the candle is OUT!”— replied the traveler.
Introspection is like a lantern — it might provide light, but it doesn’t guarantee seeing.
The blind man didn’t need any light. However, once he depended on it, he became careless and stopped being aware. The old man literally bumped into a stranger.

Being obsessed with self-improvement can have the same effect. The introspection mode — continually examining your thoughts and feelings — can get you stuck. Rather than becoming more self-aware, you lose touch with yourself (and others).
You might be thinking: “Gustavo, you always write about the importance of self-awareness. I don’t get it.” That’s precisely the point of this post, introspection is something different — rehashing thoughts doesn’t generate insights.
To see your true-self clearly you don’t need light, but to increase self-awareness. That’s the path for personal growth.

By suffering, I mean the dramatization of pain

ISBN: 9781556439056

Spiritual bypassing—the use of spiritual practices/beliefs to avoid dealing with painful feelings, unresolved wounds, and developmental needs—is so pervasive that it goes largely unnoticed. In the tradition of the landmark book ‘Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism’ by Chögyam Trungpa, Spiritual Bypassing casts a lucidly critical eye on our deeply entrenched misuse of spirituality, furthering the body of psychological/spiritual insight into how we use (and abuse) spirituality.

While other authors have touched on the subject, this is the first book fully devoted to explaining and working through spiritual bypassing, providing an in-depth look at the unresolved or ignored psychological/emotional issues that are often masked or marginalized through what we do with spirituality. “Spiritual bypassing is not something to eradicate, but to outgrow. Let us treat it as such, recognizing that real spirituality is not an escape but an arrival.”

A must-read for anyone seeking increased self-awareness and a deeper, more spiritually sound life, a life of full-blooded integrity and compassion, a life in which the personal, interpersonal, and transpersonal are all honored and lived to the fullest, a life in which we cultivate intimacy with all that we are.

“Uncompromising and truth telling, this book is an antidote to spiritual obesity. What emerges is the call to psychological clarity as essential to the mature spiritual life. Here is soul fuel for those who would enter the road less traveled- the deeply examined life as part of spiritual practice.” – Jean Houston, PhD, author of A Mythic Life

“In Spiritual Bypassing, Robert Augustus Masters offers a wake-up call – more of a shout – to those of us who have unwittingly fallen prey to all manner of promising and seductive antidotes to our pain and suffering in the form of detached spiritual teachings and New Age magical thinking. The book is a sobering and powerful reminder that our present embodiment, in all its flawed, messy humanness, cannot be conveniently sidestepped, and so invites us inward to a face-to-face encounter and embrace with the raw truth of who we really are. Masters’ unique and at times disarming prose style blends a poetic sensibility with a surprising stark clarity that points us to “What-Really-Matters.” – Eliezer Sobel, author of The 99th Monkey: A Spiritual Journalist’s Misadventures with Gurus, Messiahs, Sex, Psychedelics and Other Consciousness-Raising Experiments

This is such pervasive conditioning, it became our current belief system

The Century of the Self

This series is about how those in power have used Freud’s theories to try and control the dangerous crowd in an age of mass democracy. Sigmund Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, changed the perception of the human mind and its workings profoundly.

His influence on the 20th century is widely regarded as massive. The documentary describes the impact of Freud’s theories on the perception of the human mind, and the ways public relations agencies and politicians have used this during the last 100 years for their engineering of consent. Among the main characters are Freud himself and his nephew Edward Bernays, who was the first to use psychological techniques in advertising. He is often seen as the father of the public relations industry.

Freud’s daughter Anna Freud, a pioneer of child psychology, is mentioned in the second part, as well as Wilhelm Reich, one of the main opponents of Freud’s theories. Along these general themes, The Century of the Self asks deeper questions about the roots and methods of modern consumerism, representative democracy and its implications. It also questions the modern way we see ourselves, the attitude to fashion and superficiality.

Happiness Machines. Part one documents the story of the relationship between Sigmund Freud and his American nephew, Edward Bernays who invented Public Relations in the 1920s, being the first person to take Freud’s ideas to manipulate the masses.

Using Human Design as a psychological tool, to free yourself, to help yourself or someone else will get you stuck eventually, because that approach is finite, it is limited, mainly because it is false, secondly because it keeps the mind in control. Firmly.

Human Design is a mechanical tool with psychological consequences, not the other way around. Human Design is not so you can train your mind to act differently in similar situations, as psychology intends, as many other systems seek to accomplish.
